Re: How to overflow calls to another queue

Go to the Call Queues page and modify the the Customer Service Queue. Expand Queue is full. Did you set it to transfer to the extension that rings to the Overflow queue?

Router recommendations?

We have a bunch of systems that are directly connected to the Internet in NAT/Firewall mode and are looking to start putting them behind NAT routers for better security. We had bad experience putting Allworxes behind NAT in the past. I suspect the technology has matured since then and they are bette...

Re: Voicemail to Email setup

The Allworx can be used as a mail server or client. It is easier to use it as a mail client on another server in that you don't have to worry about ISPs blocking ports, security issues, setting up PTR records and other antispam actions, etc. To setup the Allworx as a client on your customer's mail s...

Re: 9212L no date or time on display

I've run into this a handful of times. I got around it by manually entering the IP address of the Allworx in the the Time Server field on each phone. Kind of a pain in the ass and I haven't been able to isolate the issue, although I suspect it is a DHCP issue.

Re: Dozens of Allworx systems froze last night

One more update. We haven't had a system go down in a couple hours now. I'm 99% sure it was some sort of DOS attack, but it stopped for whatever reason.

Re: Dozens of Allworx systems froze last night

Our froze this morning as well. It seemed to happen around 4am. We use Time Warner as our ISP, but our website and everything else seems fine. After a reboot, the server stayed up for 25-30 minutes then it would stop responding. I unplugged the WAN interface and it's been solid now for about 20 min...

Re: Dozens of Allworx systems froze last night

Quick update. Systems seem to be going back down after I powercycle. Not all, and no detectable pattern. I've mirrored the WAN port of a system that has gone down several times and am running a packet capture. Hopefully I'll catch it in the act.

Dozens of Allworx systems froze last night

Last night, about 50 of the systems that I monitor (roughly half) all stopped responding over the course of a few hours. There is nothing they have in common. They are on different ISPs, different firmware, different models etc. They are not set up in multi-site. The only thing they had in common is...
