Outgrowing Allworx--Replacements?
We've been running Allworx phone systems for about 6 years now, but the company has had explosive growth (we had 190 users when we put in our first couple of systems, now we have almost 2000), and the only way we could expand Allworx VoIP to everyone is to have a rack full of systems. Allworx had ru...

Re: Phone System stops
I'd love to get some more detail from what you see in your event log to see if the symptom may be related to something we're seeing. Can you answer two questions for me: 1. Is the system still pingable when it stops running? 2. Can you expand the filter on the event log after booting it back up to i...

Re: tSip: UTIL_heap: Fixed size heap <UDP> has less than 20
djd5733, are you getting the same tSIP messages, or just the symptoms? Your symptoms sound similar to what we've been seeing off an on lately. Posted about it here: http://allworxforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1072&sid=89a7d9dd26bda3f0b639633e4a05a297 Once we started monitoring the syslog inf...

Re: 48X locking up--excessive traffic?
After being stable for a week and a half, we think we know what happened. Windstream DoS'ed us. We had Trunk Group Overflow setup on three of our SIP Trunks with Windstream. They were setup in a round robin fashion; if Site 1 became unavailable, Windstream routes the call to Site 2. Site 2 is config...

Re: Capturing event log data
We did finally get syslog information flowing; no real idea what was wrong initially but after some trial and error it's working now.

Re: 48X locking up--excessive traffic?
We were able to get a little more information today (it happened again). The last messages generated before all phone and web traffic to the 48X stopped are below. eCos> tSip: +++ IEC [7.6.14.6:sipInvite.c,3832] tSip: +++ IEC [7.6.14.6:sipInvite.c,3832] tSip: TokenPipe 37 blocked (7388652 ticks)(msg...

48X locking up--excessive traffic?
We're trying to track down the root cause of our core 48X (we have 4 throughout the country, all setup for Multisite, the "core" is just the biggest one--about 180 users, 270 handsets) locking up about one a week lately. Version 7.6.14.6. The first time we experienced it was when we had on...

Capturing event log data
What's the best method for capturing event data from a 48X? We had a system go down a couple of weeks ago; it was locking up every 15 minutes to 4 hours (no pattern to the time). When we restart it, the event log is gone. I happened to be telneted into it at one lockup and saw disk write errors, but...

Re: IP Paging System compatible with Allworx
We're using the Algo SIP Audio Alerter that all sites that need overhead paging. The amp is pretty weak, so we've also need a paging amp to drive the speakers.

Re: External Caller ID per handset
I never would have thought to try a config export and import; hopefully someone can point you in the right direction as that would be a great way to do mass config changes. This has been our biggest technical complaint with Allworx--all setup is done manually, one screen at a time. When we bring a n...
