Re: Flowroute
For anyone who cares, we moved to flowroute for dramatically better call handling, failover handling, & lower cost. We are now flexibible on the # of trunks (flowroute automatically scales up or down). We removed the Public IP setting in the Allworx and our SRV record is functional with flowrout...

Flowroute E164 Handling
I'm moving to flowroute due because Allworx returns a bad ip for the public ip address and flowroute can fix this in their messaging where bandwidth.com cannot. To be clear, the problem here is how Allworx is handling the public ip address setting. If you hard set it, failing over will not work to a...

Re: Redundancy with SIP trunks and srv record on Allworx 6x
I'm sorry I don't have a resolution for you. However, I'm in a similar position and we've essentially agreed to make it a manual Allworx WAN IP setting change in the event of a failover. What's different about our situation is that our provider does not validate based on IP. We were looking at crea...

Re: Redundancy with SIP trunks and srv record on Allworx 6x
No. It was a damn mess. We've tried various ways over the years. We got a Cisco ASA5505 with everything needed for sip-rewriting etc. We also have a Cradlepoint MBR1400. Everthing fell on it's face between the Allworx and bandwidth though, not because of the routing equipment. We could get the failo...

Re: Current Builds List
why can't the end users get something to tell what changes from build to build  They are putting some on the maintenance update page now. However, NOT releasing the improvements seems to miss the basic point. They want to sell service contracts and their dealers want to sell service contracts...

Flowroute
Anyone using Flowroute with Allworx? For my number of trunk lines, call volume, etc it should drop our bandwidth bill by $100/month or thereabouts from what I can see and I've heard nothing but good things so far. I'm leary of the setup time and switching as our system has been working for years but...

Re: Allworx 6x remote call initiation breakin
ryano, Thanks for the tips. I created a Dialing Privileges Group called restricted and put my generic sips in there and simply disallowed calling. I will move them to other appropriate groups. The Privileges Groups will also allow me to prevent some users from making international calls. However, th...

Allworx 6x remote call initiation breakin
For the first time, our Allworx 6x system was hacked and made to initiate fraudulent calls internationally. Our SIP trunk provider, bandwidth.com, caught the error and shut down the calls which were initiated early on a Saturday. I happened to be in the office working on Saturday and Sunday worked o...
