Re: Router model to work with remote phones
It does sound like the SIP packets are being transformed. Netgears are touchy, but you can make it work. A few things to look at: 1. Look at the WAN IP of the Netgear and confirm it is a public IP. If it isn't, change it to AP mode so you are only using the cable/DSL modem for NAT. 2. Assuming it ha...

Re: failure to run after upgrade
Looks like you'll need to restore a backup from before the last upgrade.

Re: Generic SIP remote phone
Couple things to try: 1. Make sure networks aren't double NATed. If the dsl/cable modem is doing NAT along with, say, a wireless router, that can cause problems with VOIP and SIP. 2. Make sure the routers have up to date firmware and SIP ALG is turned off. 3. Make sure a STUN server is set in the ph...

Re: Default Admin Password at Console Not Working
Try a different browser and/or a different computer. If not, then you are limited to contacting Allworx to do a password reset or restoring a previous backup from Office Safe.

Re: Static Route between two 6x Servers
Are they in LAN host mode or NAT/Firewall? Do they have a static WAN IP assigned to them?

Do you monitor and/or receive alerts from your systems?
I'm curious as to how everyone is monitoring the status of their Allworxes. Are you pinging, using SNMP, etc? Are you setting up email alerts? If so, what alert severity levels did you choose?

Re: offsite extension Ok except for no audio on outside cal
If phones are in different locations, you don't need to worry about overlapping ports. They can both be 5060 or 5061 etc. In the meantime, try using a nonstandard SIP port for the phones like 5061, update your firewall rules and do a SIP trace.

Re: offsite extension Ok except for no audio on outside cal
I had a similar issue with remote phones behind a Zyxel USG router. Did you create a custom Handset Preference Group for each phone, with a different SIP and RTP range of ports? For example, Phone 1 uses 5060 and 16384-16393. Phone 2 uses 5061 and 16394 - 16403, etc.

Re: Random dropped calls and dialplanfmt Error code
You only have 3mbps up and down for bandwidth? Is it dedicated for the phones or are they sharing it with the data network?
