Re: Park Broken After Power Outage

I installed a spare Netgear 48 port POE switch just about a week ago, and the problem has not yet recurred. I thought for sure it would, though. The problem has always come back, without fail, after a few hours of rebooting the phone server. We're going to wait through this Friday, and if everything...

Re: 6X warranty replacements

Yup. CF card and PSU. We keep both on hands. Usually it's just a matter of replacing the CF, formatting it, and restoring from a backup. The 6x is garbage. We have a lot of them in the field. An Allorx tier 2 tech told me the other day they were released in like 2002! They really need to be replaced...

We also have the RTX cordless. Works great. A little tricky to setup though.

Re: Upgrade from 7.1.7.5 to 7.5.19.1

Upgrade one version at a time. I prefer to download them through the Allworx server, that way you ensure you're getting the right version and build. I find that each firmware update takes about 10-15 minutes for the download, install, and reboot. Be 110% sure you have a viable backup, and if the ser...

Re: Park Broken After Power Outage

Still haven't figured it out, even after a warranty replacement on the 6x. I was out there the other day and not only can I still not access the switch web UI, but it will not allow me to factory reset it. Something is definitely off. We have a spare POE switch at the office. I'm going to throw it i...

Park Broken After Power Outage

We have an Allworx 6x on 8.2 firmware. Had a power outage a few weeks ago, and since then Park does not work right. We can park a call, but it will just vanish from the park PFK seconds later, although the call is actually still parked because we can dial into the park extension and get the call. We...

Re: CORDLESS ALLWORX PHONE, PLEASE PLEASE!!!

Our reseller sells us an "RTX" cordless phone that works well. Comes with a DECT convert box thing and works pretty well. Kind of a pain to set up, but it works just fine.

Re: Allworx Reach app issues

I am with you. I've been working with Allworx for four years and have never found Reach to be particularly reliable. All sorts of odd behavior. Sometimes it works great, sometimes just OK, sometimes really bad. Just not reliable. However, Reach does require firmware 8.3 or above with iOS12. I just r...

Re: Allworx Reach No Audio on Home Network

This turned out to be a larger issue with a variant of the 8.3 firmware. Allworx sent me a December 2018 release of 8.3 that has fixed the problem. I ended up seeing the same problem at a couple clients. That's when I knew it wasn't related to my home network.

Re: 6X warranty replacements

Good question. From my own experience and having about five 6x servers brick, I have always been able to rescue the server by installing a new CF card. We ended up ordering a stack of them direct from Allworx. Pop in new card, format, install backup file, done.
