We're using a 6x as a network router but it isn't working that well in that capacity for ~20 users.
Is there a way to set a device besides the Allworx as the gateway automatically, without staticing each phone?

Re: Downgrade Allworx
Thanks. I know they'll usually lose voicemail in the downgrade. I've never tried it, but I wonder if I can go from 7.1.7 to 7.1.6 but do it as an upgrade?

Re: Vlans Allworx
Vlans is the best practice, it keeps data and voice traffic separate afaik.
I'm still learning it myself. It's best to get comfortable with vlans on a specific brand of switch.
You should learn it for future installs.

Re: Using Allworx with Private SIP trunks
See if they'll give the handoff a public rather than a 10.x.x.x. Barring that, put the allworx wan onto a static 10.x.x.x to get sip trunks. Forward one of the public's to the Allworx' wan ip. I'm a newbie, so that's only a hypothesis! This makes me wonder, is it possible to mirror an ip address? fo...

Re: How to check emails sent to a message alias
try changing the hostname to a real domain like allworx.com or your domain name. This usually ends the problem. To delete them you can login to the server via pop (telnet into port 110 on Allworx, google it!) or add them into outlook (and check delete from server). username: their allworx username (...

Re: Polycom phones with Allworx 24x
It's like any other sip phone. go to the advanced settings on phone, reset to default network, enter network settings, then I suggest you static the phone and login to it's web interface. sip server is allworx' ip username is under handset, User ID auth name is on the same page under Login ID port 5...
