Do your programming on a 7.2 or 7.3. Then upgrade to the newer version. They will be grandfathered in!

Caveat: you can never add more without getting purchasing the missing licenses.

I believe that Microsip supports multiple SIP accounts. Is this correct? I haven't used microsip in awhile.

I agree that Allworx needs this, badly. In the meantime,Analog fxs cordless works well, as well as dect.

In 2011 (so in the 7.2 release and earlier) I was told by my rep that the Allworx ringback tones can be changed and Allworx will do it on request. I wasn't told how, though. My guess is that it is done similar to the voicemail greeting ftp backup and restore feature

Yes, I integrated the Braxtel ACD with Allworx by using the option "follow dialplan of 3rd party gateway/trunks", or whatever that option is called. Doing the same with asterisk wouldn't be too hard. HOWEVER, Braxtel is an ACD, not a PBX. If you did this, the AllWorx would still be handing...
