Directory across phone systems

We have two systems, a 48x in one office and a 6x in the other. There is a separate employee directory in each. Is there a way to copy the directory in one to the other so that all employees are in the directory?

You'll need multi-site.

We have multi-site. With that response, I'm assuming it's not set up properly.
