How to check emails sent to a message alias

I was adding some users to a message alias named "Service"
I added the word Service to the list of email addresses, voice-mails came in and apparently it sent emails to service@"ourcompany"-allworx.com
I've found where I can delete voicemail trash (Home>Reports>Users) but how do I get rid of these emails? When I listen to the "Service" message box it tells me I have two emails but gives no directions on how to edit/delete them.

I'm running a

try changing the hostname to a real domain like allworx.com or your domain name. This usually ends the problem. To delete them you can login to the server via pop (telnet into port 110 on Allworx, google it!) or add them into outlook (and check delete from server).

username: their allworx username (same one as call assistant) no @ sign
password: their allworx password

I keep a dummy account in outlook ready to go when this happens.

What's the maximum number of message aliases one can have?

I know it's been a while since this original post. I'm having the same problem, but can't seem to access email following your instructions. Setting up an account in Outlook, they want a legitimate email address. I tried [username]@allworx.com, with no luck.

Please Help! We have a glut of email clogging up the whole system and causing people to get "mailbox full" messages when they call in.

Use username, not username@allworx.com.

For the pop3 server, use the allworx ip address, lan or WAN [if open on the wan]
