SMS Notification
SMS Notification
I have a user who wants to receive a text message when a voicemail is left. It works great for all cell providers except tmobile. Tmobile rejects any message that have a .wav file attached. It seems that it is a policy that was implemented in September, because it was working prior to that. Does anyone know how to either remove the .wav file from a particular user or for the notifications?
Re: SMS Notification
I'm assuming that you are using each providers email-to-sms gateway address (send an email to an address, and it gets sent as a text to the phone)?
One "outside of the system" option may be to use a transcription service like phonetag.com. I used to use it--I *think* it had a delivery option where it did not include the .wav file of the message, only the transcribed text.
