Invalid tags in TO header?

I am currently running an Allworx 6x on 7.1.6.1. I recently noticed that the follow me system would continue ringing another phone (cell phone) after the call had been picked up by the extension. Currently I'm set up with Appia Communications and I found after logging that they have been returning 481 responses to my cancel and prack requests. After opening a ticket with them they responded with the following:
"I do see that the call looks fine and was setting up fine until the CANCEL with the illegal tag in the TO header was sent. Same issue occurring when the customer device is sending a CANCEL - an illegal tag is being added to the TO header which is causing the 481"
After review I am seeing a totally different tag in the TO header for these messages compared to the other messages. I'm wondering if this was a bug in the software that was fixed in a later version or if I'm just missing something here. Does anyone know anything about this issue? Just want to make sure a software upgrade will help before paying for the maintenance.
