I'm having an issue trying to format a new CF. it just won't work...anyone have a suggestions? I tried a 256mb and a 2 gb. Just keeps giving me :
ERROR: format and mount of Compact Flash failed.
Suggested solutions:
Power off, then verify the installation of the Compact Flash

follow-up: I can format and use a USB....is it just my CF slot?

Try using a faster CF card, needs to be at least 25x , Amazon has 4 GB Sandisk cards that work fine, they are 25X . You can use a larger disk than the database/system is on, it will resize if you are restoring to is VS loading new system software.
