Adding Algo Speakers to the paging zones
I would like to add Algo 8180 speakers to the paging zones in our allworx system. Currently, I can add a speaker to an extension but can not add that extension to a paging zone. Can anyone give me an idea of how to get the extension to appear in the paging zones.
Re: Adding Algo Speakers to the paging zones
HI Tim.
Only physical Allworx handsets will appear in paging zones.
For 3rd party paging devices like Algo, 2N, SNOM, you'll have to use multicast paging (if the 3rd party gear supports it) or assign an extension to point to the paging device via a SIP account.
I hope this helps.
